Returning Your Costume

We’re so grateful to have your dancer wear a Tidewater Dancewear piece.
Returning your costume is simple, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Preparing Your Costume for Return

After your final performance:

  • Ensure the costume is dry and free of moisture

  • Gently remove any loose debris (no washing required)

  • Place all pieces (costume, accessories, sleeves, etc.) back into the package

Please avoid folding embellished areas tightly—lay them as flat as possible to protect the detailing.

 

Packaging

You may reuse the original packaging if it is still in good condition, or use a similar sturdy box or mailer.

Make sure the costume is:

  • Securely packed

  • Protected from crushing or damage

  • Properly sealed

Shipping Your Return

We accept returns through:

  • Canada Post (within Canada)

  • USPS (from the United States)

You may also use FedEx or UPS if preferred.

We recommend choosing a service that includes:

  • Tracking

  • Insurance (if available)

Return instructions and the correct shipping address will be included with your order.

Special Note: In the case of non-return or unrecoverable loss due to damages, the full replacement value of the costume may be charged.

 

Return Timing

Your return date will be clearly outlined at the time of booking.

We ask that all costumes are shipped back on or before this date so they can be prepared for the next dancer.

 

Lost or Delayed Packages

Once the return shipment has been handed to the carrier, it is considered in transit.

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring the package is shipped with tracking

  • In the rare event a package is lost in transit, we will work together to resolve the situation

If insurance was added to the shipment, claims can be made directly through the carrier.

We understand that performances are busy and sometimes unpredictable.

Our goal is not to create stress—but to keep this process smooth, fair, and respectful for everyone involved.

These costumes are shared pieces, and each return helps prepare them for the next dancer to enjoy.
