Soft and joyful, the warm colored satin polyester bodice and skirt is designed with gentle shaping and delicate detailing inspired by classical Nutcracker Act 1 party-scene costumes. Short puff sleeves create a youthful, vintage silhouette, while the flowing knee-length skirt moves lightly with the dancer for a refined yet playful stage presence.
This artwork is not a photograph of a finished costume.
It is a watercolor couture rendering intended to communicate silhouette, proportion, and decorative direction. As each costume is made by hand, variations in fabric finish, net layering, and appliqué or trim placement are natural and expected while remaining faithful to the approved design.
The final costume will be constructed from this atelier sketch, interpreted through Tidewater Dancewear’s established performance and couture construction methods.

This atelier rendering represents the approved design direction, while final details may be refined during fabrication to ensure proper balance, materials compatibility, and professional performance standards.
Once a design is approved and construction begins, the finished costume is completed according to Tidewater’s couture methods and does not operate as a client-directed, step-by-step custom build.
